Diary 18 September 2017
Today was very quiet. Class started at 8.30 am. I’d had no breakfast as I’d run out of yoghurt and fruit so I rushed to the boulangerie for a croissant and a pain au chocolat.
I’ve finally worked out how to lock my gate into the street not only from the outside but from the inside. Lots of students are having key issues for some reason. Thank goodness it’s not just me!
We have two new students in our class but only nine in total – so much better than last week. The class was excellent and I can feel that I’m progressing.
After a quick lunch, Ann, Mark, two other students and I met up for a walk downhill to the only supermarket. It was a very steep country ramble, but much worse climbing the hill up into Sancerre again.
I did homework this afternoon and watched French TV again this evening. I would’ve gone out to climb the Tour des Fiefs but my landlord was working out in his garden and I didn’t feel like talking to him.
Tired and ready for bed. Class starts at 12.30 pm tomorrow so I can do something more exciting in the morning (I hope!).
